Vegetable and herb gardening, homegrown with love

Hey there,

Just wanted to add a quick note about the photographs on this site.

All photographs are copyrighted by and are the sole possession of me, unless otherwise credited below an individual photo in an article. (As a rule, I do not use stock photography, nor AI to create a photographic representation of something.)

I have photographed all of my gardens obsessively for decades, and I have thousands — if not tens of thousands — of digital photographs of everything I’ve grown. Although my skills have improved considerably over the years (as has the equipment), some of my older photographs are not all that. But that’s okay.

I’m not here to paint a false utopia of life in the vegetable garden. It’s hard. It’s messy and dirty. Leaves wilt, branches break, and weeds overgrow. And sometimes things don’t turn out as you hoped, both in the ground and through the lens. If a photo is slightly out of focus, I probably was, too, in the heat of the sun, lol.

It’s also important to note that every herb and vegetable I discuss on this site, I’ve grown myself and have direct, hands-on knowledge and personal experience with. I’ve never grown Brussels sprouts, so you’ll never see an article about Brussels sprouts unless I grow them in the future.

If you’re sharing an article from this site, you may accompany it with one photograph, as long as you give credit to Sprouted Garden and link back to this site. If you’re sharing via one of the social share buttons on this site — say, to Facebook or Pinterest — the photo and credit will be taken care of for you by the sharing functionality.

For any other usage, you must contact me directly to receive permission.

Thank you for respecting the laws and rights surrounding my photography and content. Gardeners are a good group of people, but in the world we live in, it still has to be put in writing.
